At Traxys, we believe education can transform lives and create lasting opportunities for individuals, families, and communities. Traxys South Africa established The Sunland Education Trust as the vehicle to support this vision. The Sunland Education Trust chose to partner with Feenix, a registered South African Public Benefit Organisation, to help support access to higher education for talented students who may otherwise face financial barriers.

The program supports approximately eight to ten students each year and has enabled beneficiaries to pursue qualifications in accounting, mining engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, human resource management, computer science, and other disciplines critical to South Africa's future growth and development.

Feenix independently administers the bursary program on behalf of The Sunland Education Trust, managing the application and funding process to ensure a fair, transparent, and impactful allocation of support. The number of students funded each year depends on both successful applicants' funding requirements and available resources.

Cokisa Titi, Independent Trustee, said:

“The partnership with Feenix reflects The Sunland Education Trust’s commitment to creating meaningful, long-term impact beyond our day-to-day business activities. By helping students access higher education, we are investing in the next generation of professionals, innovators, and community leaders.”

A Feenix Bursary Recipient said:

“My journey has not always been easy, but having the support of the Trust has reminded me that there are people and organisations who believe in my potential. I am truly grateful for the opportunity and encouragement I have received. Thank you for investing in my education and helping me move closer to achieving my goals.”

As we continue this partnership, we look forward to supporting more students on their educational journeys and contributing to the development of skills and opportunities that help strengthen communities across South Africa.
