Traxys and TMK Sign Agreement at the Tashkent International Investment Forum 2026

Traxys and JSC Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) have strengthened their strategic partnership through a series of agreements signed at the Tashkent International Investment Forum 2026, reinforcing Uzbekistan’s growing role in global critical minerals supply chains. The agreements include the supply of metallic molybdenum briquettes, rhenium tablets and metallurgical-grade molybdenum rods through the end of 2026, alongside a framework for long-term offtake cooperation supported by pre-export financing.

Under this model, Traxys could provide up to USD $150 million in commercial prepayments against future deliveries, creating a financing solution that supports TMK’s growth while securing reliable access to strategically important raw materials.

Building on the opening of Taxys’ regional office in Tashkent earlier this year, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing resilient, long-term supply chains through commercial collaboration, investment and technical expertise. Future initiatives include the potential establishment of an international consortium focused on geological exploration, mining and downstream processing of critical minerals, further strengthening Uzbekistan’s position as an emerging supplier of strategic materials to global markets.

The collaboration demonstrates Traxys’ continued commitment to building sustainable partnerships that support responsible resource development and long-term supply chain resilience.
