Traxys Announcement: Traxys Expands Cooperation with Uzbekistan on Critical Minerals

Traxys Global CEO Mark Kristoff and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev discuss opportunities to expand cooperation and investment across the critical minerals value chain.

Traxys is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with the Government of Uzbekistan to expand cooperation across the critical minerals value chain. Following discussions on the sidelines of the C5+1 Business Forum, the agreement reflects a shared ambition to deepen collaboration, unlock investment opportunities, and support the long-term development of critical mineral resources that are increasingly essential to global industrial growth and the energy transition.

The broader discussions brought together senior representatives from the Government of Uzbekistan, including Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister; Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade; and Bobur Islamov, Minister of Mining Industry and Geology. Traxys was represented by Mark Kristoff, Global CEO, and Temurbek Hikmatullaev, Head of the Representative Office of Traxys in Uzbekistan. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in geological exploration, mining, and advanced mineral processing; attracting investment; deploying modern technologies; and advancing potential joint development initiatives. Participants also emphasized the importance of building resilient, transparent, and sustainable critical mineral supply chains to support growing global demand.

During the visit, Traxys Global CEO Mark Kristoff also met one-on-one with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to discuss Uzbekistan's growing role in global critical minerals supply chains and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Traxys and the country's mining and minerals sector.
