Mark Kristoff Joins Money of Mine Podcast at IMARC 2026

Traxys CEO Mark Kristoff recently joined the Money of Mine podcast at the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) 2026 in Sydney to discuss the evolving dynamics of global metals markets and the role commodity traders play in connecting producers with customers worldwide.

The conversation covered a range of topics, including changing trade flows, market volatility, financing, logistics, and the growing importance of critical minerals in supporting industrial growth and electrification. Mark also shared Traxys' perspective on how traders help customers and producers navigate increasingly complex global supply chains while responding to shifting market conditions.

Discussing the outlook for key commodities, Mark highlighted the strong long-term fundamentals supporting copper demand:

“You know, in general I’m quite bullish on copper. You got to move electrons. In the developing world, power requirements are only growing. Copper is still a big, big part of any solution to move power throughout from producers to consumers of the energy. So I think fundamentally copper is still a very strong product. Will it have volatility? Of course. Will it have different prices in different markets? Yes, it will. Then navigating that is part of the job that we try to do for our customers and producers.”

Mark also discussed the role commodity traders play in connecting producers and customers, helping move materials across global markets through financing, logistics, and risk management. The conversation touched on how geopolitical developments, changing trade patterns, and economic conditions continue to influence metals markets and what those changes mean for producers, customers, and other participants across the supply chain.

We thank the Money of Mine team for the opportunity to discuss these important industry trends and share our views on the future of global commodities markets.
